Content Theft: Lisa Cheney does Melissa, in a horrible way...
So, obviously stealing content from anyone is wrong. Its illegal, its theft, it shows a lack of the ability to produce original copy. Melissa’s blog is one I’ve actually been reading since I was in college at NCSU. She was always so funny, and witty and personable. So, I remember her posts, I remember her work, and I remember seeing things passed around our college by people who appreciated her work and what she had to say.
When I see it elsewhere I remember.
Lisa Cheney has made the decision to completely steal Melissa’s stories, ideas, and feelings. She’s done it to a point that disgusts me, and probably anyone who reads this. She seems to believe that she somehow truly created these words as people comment on her blog, give her awards for her work, and appreciate what she has to say.
In reading her blog, one will quickly realize she KNOWS how to credit individuals for ideas they’ve given her. SO WHY NOT MELISSA?
Basically, Melissa is too nice to do this, but I’m not.
Lisa Cheney is a thief, and I can back up that statement with proof, so I will.
Soaked to my Soul is an amazing name for a blog, and I’m sure it comes with an interesting story…maybe you’re interested:

Via Google Cache (I’m sure she thought she deleted it).
That sure is a great story. Made my heart melt, and simultaneously gave me de’ja’vu. Why you ask?
![]()
Well, THIS of course, is why.
Then of course you know, I love hearing about weddings, and dresses, and love. So hearing Lisa recount her dress shopping experience made my heart melt!

But again, reading her blog gave me this familiar feeling.
I don’t know, I wonder if I’ve seen this before?

Or maybe you’d like to hear about when Lisa arrives home from work to be greeted by her dogs, and her townhouse, and all that jazz?
![]()
No, there is truly no way I’ve ever heard this before.
Melissa didn’t share a heartfelt story about her life that was AT ALL similar.

Birthday’s are a time for reflection, a time to seriously think about your past and point out what you should have done.
This was so nice to read.
![]()
It was even nicer when Melissa posted it FROM HER HEART.

I find it so refreshing when someone sends thanks to the Universe for all that they have been given. When they appreciate what life has afforded them.
![]()
However, I find it even MORE refreshing when you aren’t thanking the universe for SOMEONE ELSE’S life.

Usually you just write off similarities such as this.
But since Lisa Cheney is insane, this isn’t a similarity- its another example of theft.
Though I don’t have a link to this one- at one point in time I remember reading it on Melissa’s blog- I remember it because of the starburst part and the cowboy boots!

I think this pretty much sums up Lisa Cheney. If you’ve read her blog in the past- I’d suggest stopping. Authenticity matters.
